Pete is a plumber who has worked in the
construction and water industry for the last 20
years.
He is currently working part time as a Health,
Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator for South
Gippsland Water, a truck driver, a Mental Health
and Wellbeing advocate for Mindfull Aus/Restless
Wellbeing and his favourite of all, a father to his
children.
He has volunteered at Mindfull Aus for 3 years and
is the founder of Restless Wellbeing.
Pete has played country football for 25 years and
is a Wellbeing Officer at the Tarwin Football
Netball Club.
8 years ago, Pete and his partner started their
journey into parenthood. In this time, they have
seen the highest of highs and lowest of lows of
being a parent.
Over this time, his own mental health was pushed
to the limit with the realization that he was given
something that he couldn’t physically fix.
Pete shares parts of his story; what he has learnt
over this journey and what it means to be a
mentally and emotionally healthy person.
Pete’s story is about what resilience looks like for
him and how he has changed his outlook on life
for the positive, for himself, his partner, his kids,
his family, his friends, and his community.
He is passionate about being a voice for men’s
mental health and redefining what masculinity
looks like.
Purpose

story and do the work I do is to help individuals, teams,
workplaces and communities to be the best mentally they
can be. This all starts with mental health education and
creating safe and inclusive places in our communities”

K - Kindness - to others and yourself.
E - Empathy - to approach self,others and life with
empathy.
E - Emotional Intelligence - building/strengthening
emotional intelligence to be able to control and
understand emotions better.
P - Purpose - living a life with purpose, aligned to
values with positive mindset.
